Subject: [VINUX-SUPPORT] Re: No Braille in virtual machine
Thanks all for your replies and help.

Don offered to post a suggestion to the VMWare forum to support Braille
displays being able to be connected to both the Windows machine and virtual
machine at the same time.

I think that would be a great idea - After all, sighted folks have the
monitor connected to both machines simultaneously! It is rather a nuisance
to have to keep connecting and reconnecting the Braille display just to
switch between Windows and the virtual machine. It should be a quick and
easy task to switch between the two.

I can understand why they might want to disconnect USB memory devices for
security, but just as keyboards, the mouse, etc. are shared, the Braille
display should be also.

I don't remember this being the case in older versions of the VMWare Player.
I was pretty sure when I tried this several years ago Braille worked
seamlessly when switching.

Anyway, thanks. If that suggestion can be passed along (and maybe someday
implemented to give us parity) that would be great.
